Building a portal and dating Amity
Shortly before they head out, Luz touches a glyph and it starts to burn slightly. They conclude Belos is not there, but Luz promises Hunter she will keep him safe, saying that he is family now, and they head back to her house. The others are working on their Halloween costumes and Amity suggests she and Luz go as Hecate and Azura respectively. Luz accepts as an Azura movie plays on the television and she focuses on the character of Lucy, who betrays the protagonists, causing Luz to worry about how her friends would react if they found out she helped Belos. Arriving in the Boiling Isles
Next, they see Belos and another Golden Guard induct the first witches into the nine covens, and watch as they react negatively to the sigils and are left to die. They then see Belos speaking to the Collector, revealing their plan to kill the inhabitants of the Boiling Isles with a Draining Spell. They watch as past Hunter rushes in, delivering the portal key before quickly leaving. After this, it is revealed, to both Luz and Hunter's horror, that Belos killed all the previous Golden Guards.
Hexside students
The following morning, Luz tells the others what she learned of Belos as they listen in disbelief. Hooty and King comfort her as Eda tells them Belos will come after them after knowing Luz was in his mind. Soon, Lilith arrives, having been informed of the current events by Hooty, and Hooty coughs up a letter to King from his potential family containing a key. Upon hearing this, Luz suggests she, King, and Hooty set out to try and get them to help stop the Day of Unity.

However, King insists he handle this alone and blasts Luz and the others through the portal. After landing in the Human Realm, Luz runs over to get back to help King, but the portal closes. It all goes horribly wrong before the duo defeats Grometheus, and Amity is too embarrassed to give her the note asking her out. But in the end, the pair share a dance as Grom Queens even as Luz is oblivious to Amity’s original intentions. In "Knock, Knock, Knockin on Hooty's Door", Hooty kidnapped Amity in an attempt to get Luz to ask her out.
Luz asks if they are as bad as Belos, but King's father says Belos is pretending to be the hero of his own story to fit his agenda. Soon, King's father starts to fade and gives Luz the last of his magic, warning that it's temporary. As the nine walk, Skara and Mattholomule explain what has happened since the Day of Unity. After arriving at Hexside, Luz and the others are shocked by the state the school is in. After learning that Boscha has taken control of the school in the absence of adults, Luz tries to get her to help them reach the Head, but with advice from Boscha's advisor Miki, she rejects them and kicks them out of the gym.
The match results in Amity spraining her ankle and she remains bedridden for awhile. This unfortunately means that she does not visit the Emperor's Coven, her desired goal. Despite this cruel act, as well as all the harm they caused to both her home and loved ones, Amity's opinion of the Collector changed during the final battle against Belos.
Later, after Amity, Luz, Willow, Gus, and Hunter get caught by Odalia sneaking around Blight Industries, Amity shows great concern for the twins after they get captured. After their attempt at pranking their younger sister nearly killed her, Edric and Emira started acting nice and protective towards Amity as seen in "Adventures in the Elements" while also playing harmless pranks on her. Amity appears to be unimpressed with their attempts at reconciliation, but she is shown to care about her siblings, who assist her in learning a new spell, and she rushes to save them from the slitherbeast when it captures them. Edric and Emira praise her after she learns to create fire without a wand, albeit lightly teasing her in the process, much to her satisfaction and irritation. After Odalia hushes Luz for speaking out, Amity furiously tells her not to talk to her girlfriend like that.
They fight and Luz unleashes a fire blast that flies off and hits a slitherbeast. The twins and Eda restrain it as Amity tries to attack it, but the wand is out of power. The slitherbeast takes Eda and the twins as Amity traps Luz in a cage to keep her from getting hurt. When Luz goes to the library to deliver some of Eda's books and finds Amity reading to children, she tries again to fix things, but Amity refuses to do so. Luz there meets Amity's older siblings, Edric and Emira Blight, who also have a bad relationship with Amity, and they invite her to have fun, but Amity has them expelled from there.
